The Benton Tiger and Lady Tiger Bowling teams kicked off the new season Thursday night at the jamboree. There are a lot of new faces in the lanes this year as well as a few familar ones. The Lady Tigers, featuring four beginning bowlers, had a respectable opening. Everyone turned in a good solid performance and Linsey Walls had the high score of the night with a 123. The Tigers beat Bossier in the third round of play. Veteran bowler Tommy Young scored a 164 and Daniel Salazar followed close behind with a 154. Jonathan Rider who is new to the team this year scored a 135 in his first time in competition. However, the highlight of the night was our new freshman, Stacey Ballard, who entered into the 200 club this year with the outstanding score of 204. Congratulations to both our teams. The Tigers will be in action against Airline, Monday at 3:40 at Holiday Lanes. |
