Three are seniors and one has two more chances to repeat.

One is not only the all-time leading rusher in Shreveport-Bossier City prep football but the all-time leading scorer.

The Times has named its All-City and All-Area players of the year for football, and each has had impressive seasons.

Jeremy Jefferson, the Booker T. Washington running back whose deceptive size never led anyone to believe he would amount to much, is The Times All-City Offensive Player of the Year, a repeat performance.

The Times All-City Defensive Player of the Year is Romero Brass, who went head-to-head with Jefferson as a District 1-3A foe.

Sophomore T.Q. Mims, who took over the Minden quarterback job after the incumbent graduated, not only proved he could handle the job but excelled, and he is The Times All-Area Offensive Player of the Year.

Kee Jones, who was already a standout before this season, helped take his team to another level this year and is The Times Defensive Player of the Year.

Jefferson, who rushed for 2,674 yards and 32 touchdowns, is a two-time Class 3A all-state back and twice set the Shreveport-Bossier City record for single-season rushing. He is, at best, 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds.
