At the third classification hearing on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, the districting plans for Classes B, 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A received final approval and were adopted for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years by the LHSAA Executive Committee. Benton High will move to class 4A and will compete against in district 1-4A against Bossier, Fair Park, Haughton, Minden, Northwood-Shreveport, Parkway, and Woodlawn-Shreveport. The new district will apply to all sports at BHS for the next two years. Executive committee approves this classification plan for the 2007-09 school year.
