Pittmon raises $1,003 for education - second most in area Print E-mail

On Saturday, 1,200 people gathered to celebrate the hard work of students and schools with a Walk for Education sponsored by the Alliance for Education. Students raised money for various school projects. Half of the money earned stays at the school to fund those projects.  The Alliance gave cash prizes to schools and students that raised the most money.
Amanda Pittmon from Benton High School raised $1,003.

 

First place for students was Jared Nix from Herndon Magnet who raised $1,039. Amanda Pittmon from Benton High School raised $1,003. Schools that raised the most money are Apollo Elementary wth $9,677.25. Second place was Elm Grove Middle School with raised $8,252.98. All together, Caddo-Bossier schools raised over $100,000.
