Benton rolls past Northwood |

An attempted onside kick, a long run that ended in a fumble and a flea flicker that accounted for 49 yards. Those were the first three plays at Tiger Stadium. The Northwood Falcons threw everything at the Benton Tigers but the kitchen sink in the early going Friday night. But the Tigers calmed down and took control, grounding the Falcons 35-14. The score pails in comparison to how the game began.
Northwood's defense forced four fumbles in the first five minutes of play and blocked a Benton punt in the end zone that gave them a 7-0 first quarter lead. "It was sloppy in the beginning," Tigers coach Mitch Downey said. "We just made some mistakes when we didn't field the punt and got pinned at the 1.
