To Benton High School and the Benton Community: After thirty-three years (the last thirteen at Benton High School) of teaching and coaching, I will be retiring, Coach Debbie Guidry effective May 27, 2006. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the basketball girls, the softball girls, and all of my students both present and past for making my stay at Benton High School exciting, rewarding, and fun-filled. I want to wish all of you continued success in sports and school, but more importantly, success in life.
My thanks also goes to the coaches at BHS, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, grandparents, relatives, and individuals in the Benton community who have helped my teams, my students, and me in our endeavors. Your new coaching staff will need your support in order to continue the success of our program. Please help them as you helped me. I have put in long hours over the last thirteen years. I truly hope that I in some way made the Lady Tiger athletic program and Benton High School a little better. My last thoughts would be: Thanks for the memories and One…Two…Three…TIGER PRIDE!
