ImageThe 2005-2006 school year is rapidly coming to a close. The years are going by much too quickly. This has been a terrific year for our school system. Our administrators, teachers, support staff, and especially our students have worked tremendously hard in order to experience success. Thank you parents for all your support.

We have finalized the land acquisition for our two new elementary schools, Legacy and W. T. Lewis. The land purchase for the new Parkway High School is in the final stages. We will have a meeting Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. to discuss the entire bond issue and the progress that has been made. The public is certainly welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the School Board office.

We want to wish our 2005-2006 graduating seniors the best of luck as they depart our school system. We will have graduations for Airline, Benton, Bossier, Haughton, and Parkway on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Century Tel Center. Plain Dealing High will have graduation ceremonies on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Plain Dealing High School at 6:00 p.m.

Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to work with your students. It is our prayer that each of them has a safe summer, and we look forward to seeing them again August 9, 2006.
