Page 1 of 3  Fifty-three new members were initiated into the Benton High School Chapter of the National Honor Society, one of the most prestigious organizations on campus. Students qualify for NHS through their character, scholarship, leadership and service. In the candlelight ceremony presented by Senior NHS members Erica Hudson, Nicole Nezat and Steven Susla, initiates pledged their energy and loyalty to the principles of the National Honor Society.
Each new initiate was presented an NHS Certificate and a long-stemmed yellow rose. Scott Smith, Benton High Principal, challenged the initiates to continue their excellence in character, scholarship, leadership and service throughout their lives. Initiates and their families and friends attended a reception immediately after the ceremony.
