ImageSpring seems to be just around the corner. I know this time of the year is very busy because of all the activities in which our students are involved. Our state testing is coming up, March 20-24, 2006, and I have been privileged to visit with our fourth and eighth graders and hopefully encouraged them to do their best. Parents, you have an important role in this testing process and I’m asking for your assistance.

Please monitor your students so they get adequate rest, breakfast, and, if possible, schedule doctor or dentist appointments in the afternoon, so testing isn’t interrupted. Thank you in advance for all your support, because I know you want only the best for your student(s).

We now have options to purchase land for all of our proposed schools. Our board voted to purchase forty acres off Highway 71 South for the new Parkway High School . I must thank Mr. Keith Norwood, Mr. Charles Coyle, Mr. Patrick Jackson, and the land owners, for successful negotiations and for the tremendous amount of work done to achieve this goal. Thank you for a job well done.

On behalf of the Bossier Parish School Board, our employees and our staff, we are privileged to serve the citizens of this fine parish. We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with your students, and thank you for all the support you have given our school system.
