Image“Broadway through the Years” will be performed at Airline High School Auditorium on Saturday, February 25 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 pm. The program will include acting, singing, dancing, and band music from Broadway shows from this past century.  The program is the brainchild of Pam Haley, Curriculum Director for Bossier Parish Schools.  It is a partnership between Bossier Parish High Schools and Bossier Arts Council and is funded through a Bossier Arts Council grant and Bossier Parish Educational Excellence Funds.

Students from six Bossier Parish High Schools, Bossier Achievement Center, and Rusheon Middle School are involved in aspects of the production:  designing/creating props, designing the program, performing in choir or orchestra, acting, dancing, running lights, and serving as stage manager and crew.  Professional artists working on the production include: Richard Folmer, Director; William Parsons, Musical Director; Angela Rosencrantz, Choreographer; Eugene Crook, Technical Director; Claiborne Sharp, Sound; and Drew Lye and Emily Pennix, Accompanists. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for Bossier Parish students, and free to those with Bossier Parish Employee ID’s. Tickets are available at the door.  Don’t miss this fantastic showcase of Bossier Parish School Talent, plus scenes, dancing and music from all your favorite Broadway shows!
