Brittney Branum, a Benton High Sophomore, won 1st place in novice debate at the Airline speech tournament this past weekend.  She and her partner from Benton Middle, Thomas Greathouse, defeated Parkway in the semi-finals and Byrd High School in the finals.  There were 15 schools in the competition. The Benton Debate Team is coached and sponsored by Donald Belanger.  Congratulations Brittney!
