Benton High School SACS Accreditation Self-Study Report

COMMUNITY BUILDING: TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS

Principle #10 (Organizational Effectiveness), page 32 of the Louisiana School Improvement Process Handbook, Fourth Edition 2003

“The school community is expanded and strengthened through collaborative networks of support for student learning.”

 

Goal Statements:

A. Benton High School will communicate clearly, consistently, strategically, and continuously with parents to increase 0the parents’ awareness of the school’s goals and objectives.
B. Benton High School will encourage parent participation in school-supported activities.
C. Benton High School will engage parents in assisting their children with their schoolwork.

Objective:

The scores on ACT, GEE 21, and IOWA tests will increase by the end of the five-year plan.
