Benton High School offers students the opportunity to take four classes in the fall semester and four in the spring semester. This 4X4 block scheduling allows students more time to devote to course work, and it allows opportunities to select more classes. In addition to a list of academic and career/technical courses (pp. 3-42...3-43), Benton offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses in English IV and Calculus.

Honors classes are available in English (I,II,III), physical science, Biology I, Chemistry I, geometry, Algebra II, and American history. Classes are also offered in Biology II and Chemistry II. Benton High School also has an active United States Air Force JROTC program on campus led by one officer and two enlisted service personnel.
