Sara Beth Russell of Benton High won 1st place in the 200 Meter Freestyle and 2^nd place in the 500 Meter Freestyle at the Louisiana State Swim Meet held at LSU in Baton Rouge just before Thanksgiving.  Caleb Jones won 6^th place in the 100 Meter Breaststroke and 8^th place in the 50 Meter Freestyle at the event.  In the Girls’ Relay, Benton won 6^th place in the 200 and 400 Meter Freestyle and 10^th place in the 200 Meter Relay.  All members of the Benton Swim Team made it to the finals at the meet, including: Kaitlin Alison, Millicent Davis, Kelly Flurry, Caleb Jones, Carly Loftin, Sara Beth Russell and Haley Wilson.  The Benton Swim Team is sponsored by teacher Mona Russell.
