The Benton Fighting Tiger Marching Band participated in the LMEA (Louisiana Music Educators Association) Marching Competition at Haughton High School on November 8, 2005.  The Tiger Band, under the supervision of Mr. Hitt and Mr. Causey, received an overall score of 2.  The band’s performance would normally be considered good; however, given the fact that this performance was put together in just the last three to four weeks and that Band Director, Ted Beagley, has been serving with the Louisiana National Guard since Hurricane Katrina, our band students definitely rallied to the occasion.

Mr. Causey, who has been helping with marching practice, said he was very pleased with the band’s performance and that the students gave it their all.  Congrats to the Fighting Tiger Marching Band!
