Almost 50 students participated in the first ACT (American College Test) Workshop on Saturday, October 1, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Teachers Stewart Thompson (Math) and Linda Robinson  The ACT Workshops will be continued over the next two Saturdays, October 8 and October 15.  Scott Smith, principal, is underwriting the costs for these workshops from the school budget in order to help Benton High School students excel (all three workshops are being made available to students for only $5)—that is how important these tests are to students seeking admission to college. (English) tutored the students not only on subject matter that will be covered on the ACT tests, but also on strategies for securing the best results from the tests.
