Superintendent's Response to Hurricane Efforts |

 I am so thankful that for the most part, we were spared the projected damage of Hurricane Rita. I trust that damage to your homes and businesses was kept to a minimum and repairs can be made quickly. Principals and center directors, please convey our appreciation to your staffs for the preparations made in anticipation of the storm.
I cannot thank our schools enough for the tremendous job you have done in assimilating our new students who have been displaced due to Katrina. We may have additional students due to Hurricane Rita, and I’m confident you’ll accommodate them if necessary.
I am so proud of our community and the generosity of so many who have gone above and beyond to assist those affected by these storms. Please keep our South Louisiana citizens in your prayers. |
