Safety first is always the motto at Benton High.  For that reason, the Benton High School Homecoming Dance was postponed until Saturday, October 29th, when hurricanes will be gone and students can enjoy the dance and drive safely in better weather.  The Homecoming Dance is sponsored by Computer Education teacher Angela McCullough. Good decision!

Precautions were also taken by teachers and students to prepare for possible problems related to the storm.  Because of the possibility of flooding, items of value in the classrooms were placed on counter tops or desks.  Computers were shut down, and all devices from the back of the computer were unplugged.  All electronic devices were covered with plastic to protect them.
