Benton’s pass defense will be tested again Friday night in the opening round of Class 4A state football playoffs. When Benton played host to Minden in the eighth week of regular-season play. quarterback T.Q. Mims of Minden completed 20 of 34 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns in a game that was up for grabs until Cameron McKoy’s 95-yard kickoff return in the final seconds of the first half opened up a 28-12 lead. It was just another day at the office for Mims, the only player in Louisiana’s top two classifications to pass for more than 2,000 yards in regular-season play this season. Read the full article...
