Benton freshmen beat parish rival |

The Benton High freshmen scored a 20-14 football victory over the Haughton freshmen as Trevor Senn scored two touchdowns for the Benton freshmen on one-yard runs.
D.A. Green scored the other touchdown on a one-yard run, and scored a two-point conversion after the third touchdown.
Defensive standouts for the Benton freshmen were Mack Howard (who intercepted a Haughton pass), Grady Burnett, Chad Johnson and Trey Childers.
Benton’s freshmen are now 2-1 for the season.
Haughton did all of its scoring on passes, with Stetson Stuteville throwing a 45-yard pass to Damon Gladney for one touchdown and Brady McCoy throwing a 13-yard pass to Gladney for the other. McCoy also threw to Gladney for a two-point conversion.
Marcus Buggs had 90 yards rushing in seven carries for the Haughton freshmen, now 2-1. |
Benton High School has a long-standing tradition in football. Each and every year the Tigers are among the best in the 1-4A district and in the Louisiana 4A classification. Under the leadership of great coaches, the Benton Tigers put on a great show each and every Fall Friday night in Tiger Stadium.
