D.A. Green returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, but Benton’s freshmen made only one of three two-point conversion attempts and dropped a 22-20 decision to Byrd in Shreveport Monday. Green scored the two-pointer for the Benton freshmen, who are 1-1 for the season. Trevor Senn scored the other touchdown on a 65-yard run. Byrd also won the junior varsity game, 21-0, despite a good punting performance by Tyler Wallace and outstanding running by Benton’s Tramel Williams.

Benton High School has a long-standing tradition in football. Each and every year the Tigers are among the best in the 1-4A district and in the Louisiana 4A classification. Under the leadership of great coaches, the Benton Tigers put on a great show each and every Fall Friday night in Tiger Stadium.
