Tigers debut as No. 5 on LSWA Preseason Class 4A Poll Print E-mail

Coming off their second playoff semifinal appearance in three years (05 vs. Redemptorist & 07 vs. Bastrop), the Benton Tigers have earned a No. 5 state ranking the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 4A poll. The poll is voted on by 12 sportswriters throughout the state. Bastrop, the two-time defending 4A champion, is the unanimous pick at No. 1, followed by O.P. Walker, Eunice, and Leesville, with Benton coming in fifth. Haughton (No. 17) and Parkway (No. 18) of District 1-4A also received votes in the poll. Click here to view the complete poll.
