Bossier Lions Club Jamboree features tight contests Print E-mail
Written by The Shreveport Times

Reggie Jackson showed he could hit a home run. Dalton Morris showed a deft passing touch.

What no team in the Bossier Lions Club Jamboree showed was an ability to pull away.

Benton and Airline played to a 7-all tie after Airline's Jackson showed — what else — the ability to deliver in the clutch.

Parkway, meanwhile, held on for a 14-8 win over Plain Dealing as the Lions scored in the closing minute to avoid a shutout.

Haughton and Bossier were not complete at press time.

Benton, which recorded five shutouts a year ago, looked to be on its way to another until Jackson turned a busted play into a 65-yard, game-tying touchdown with 1:04 to play. Jackson took a Dalton Young pass in the left flat and streaked down the left sideline until he reached the north end zone.
