Brakeville fares well in national event Print E-mail

Maggie Brakeville of Bossier City was on the second-place finishing team in the recent 4-H Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program, a national event held in Stillwater, Okla.

Brakeville joined Eric Smith of Calcasieu Parish, Carlin LeDoux of Beauregard and Lindsey Tassin of East Baton Rouge to complete the highest ever finish by a Louisiana team, according to LSU county agent Joe Barrett.

Tennessee won the event with Indiana finishing third.

"The team that beat us had been together for a full year, while we put our team together in June," Barrett said. "We're proud of the effort they made. This was a very big honor."
