Flattmann wins Class 4A cross country title; Team takes fourth |

Benton freshman Kaitlin Flattman dominated her first Class 4A girls state cross country today at Northwestern State University.
Flattmann ran the 3-mile course in a swift 17:59.9, finishing far ahead of runner-up Karensa Ellis (19:16.54) of Alexandria Senior High.
Loyola's Taylor Slack finished state runner-up in the Class 2A girls meet. Slack ran a 19:24, finishing behind St Thomas' More's Malia Cali (17:16). Loyola finished fourth in the team competition. Parkway's Morgan Hanson (eighth, 20:02.83) and Olivia Ditt (ninth, 20:13.92) posted top-10 finishes in Class 4A girls.
Parkway finished second in the girls team competition with 92 points to 45 for champion St. Michael. Benton was fourth with 120.
Parkway's Matt Wolfe finished third in Class 4A boys with a time of 16:12. Haughton's DeAndre Harper was eighth in 16:54. Parkway finished fifth in the team competition, Benton was sixth and Haughton 12th. |
