Benton’s freshmen and junior varsity football teams swept a pair of games from Minden here Tuesday. After trailing 14-0 early in the game, the Benton freshmen took a 20-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and rolled past Minden 48-22 to complete their season with a 4-2-2 record.
Tramel Williams scored three touchdowns for Benton on runs of seven, four and nine yards.
T.K. Fleming scored one touchdown on a 70-yard interception return and another on a 50-yard run.
Also scoring touchdowns for Benton were German Thompson on a 14-yard run and Antonio Fleming on a three-yard run.
Tyler Harrell kicked six of seven extra points.
Benton freshman line coach Shandrick Tasby said the offensive line played well. That group consisted of center James Lynn, guards Jacobi Thornton and Kyle West, tackles Tanner Crutsinger and Matt Butts and tight ends Harrell and Zach Malone. Read more at BossierPress.com... |
