German Thompson raced 85 yards with the opening kickoff for a quick touchdown Monday as the Benton freshmen scored a 33-7 victory over Northwood.
In the junior varsity game, which was stopped by rain and lightning in the second quarter, Benton had a 7-6 lead when the game was called off.
Josh Stephens had 115 yards rushing to lead the Benton freshmen. He didn’t score a touchdown, but he threw a 23-yard halfback pass to Thompson for a Benton touchdown.
Dalton Carroll threw a 56-yard pass to T.K. Fleming for another touchdown, and Tremel Williams scored on a 10-yard run up the middle as Benton took a 20-0 lead into the halftime intermission. Read the full article at BossierPress.com...
