For each department you will find a listing of faculty, faculty profiles, and courses taught. Following the listing of faculty in each department, you will find a "Course Guide" of class descriptions for many of the classes offered in that department. Any questions concerning a specific course can be directed to the appropriate faculty member.
HOMEWORK POLICY
Homework is given every day in every class and must be completed every day. It is important because it serves as an evaluation of the student's understanding of the day's lessons.
MEDICAL OR OTHER EMERGENCY
Report the incident immediately to a teacher or any other adult in the building.
CODE OF ETHICS
Respect Yourself: Do only those things that will help you to achieve a successful and healthful future.
Respect all school staff and each other: Treat others with courtesy, justice, and truthfulness.
Respect Property: Take care of your things and take care of those things that we share.
- Attend school daily. Arrive on time. Cutting is prohibited.
- Appropriate dress required; absolutely no hats are worn in school. Any and all headgear will be confiscated.
- Move quickly and orderly to and from class; get to the next class before the late bell and begin work immediately.
- Electronic devices are prohibited and will be confiscated. (Beepers, cell phones, cigarettes, walkmans, gaming devices, playing cards, and dice).
- Profane and disrespectful language will not be tolerated.
- Play fighting and wrestling is not permitted.
- Eating and drinking are to be done in the cafeteria only; no gum chewing.
- Smoking, alcoholic beverages and drugs are illegal and prohibited. (Prescription medication should be turned over to the office for dispensation during the day).
- Use the designated exits and entrances.
- Defacing school property or graffiti is prohibited.
- Leaving the building without permission is prohibited.
- Keep your classroom and desk clean.
DRESS CODE FOR BENTON HIGH SCHOOL
- Tops - white or navy polo shirts, short or long sleeve
- Light blue oxford shirts, short or long sleeve
- White oxford shirts, short or long sleeve
- Bottoms - Only navy, khaki, or stone pants can be worn.
- Pants must have belt loops and be worn with a belt.
- No jean-type pants with hardware such as rivets or pocket zippers can be worn as uniform pants.
- Pants must have sewn in back pockets for boys.
- Sewn on back pockets are totally unacceptable for boys and girls.
- Pants must not be split, frayed, or raveled at the bottom.
- No labels.
Benton High Girls Uniforms
- Tops - white or navy polo shirts, short or long sleeve
- Light blue oxford shirts, short or long sleeve
- White oxford shirts, short or long sleeve
- Bottoms - Only navy, khaki, or stone pants can be worn.

Benton High Other Uniform rules
- Outerwear - The regulation navy jacket or purple Benton pullover are approved outerwear. Only approved coats, jackets, sweaters, and sweat tops will be allowed in the school and must be worn properly--not tied or wrapped around the waist, etc.
- Benton PolarTec Fleece jacket is allowed.
- Absolutely NO starter jackets or long coats are allowed on campus at any time. Undershirts - Only a solid WHITE, solid NAVY, or solid LIGHT BLUE T-shirt may be worn as an undershirt.
- Any other colored undershirts are not permissible.
- Undershirts with writing or pictures on them are not allowed.
- Uniform Length - Skirts, skorts, dresses and shorts must be no shorter than 4 inches above the kneecap and no longer than the exact bottom of the kneecap.
Benton High Other Dress Code regulations
- NO hooded sweatshirts will be allowed.
- WIND SUITS - Wind suits will NOT be worn at anytime during the school day. School sponsored wind suit tops only will be permitted as a school approved outerwear jacket
