ImageCori Jenkins, a senior at Benton High School, returned home from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, with a Gold Medal aroung her neck. Cori is a member of the Ambition Twirling Team Coached by Lori Perkins and Kim Tharpe. While in Hamilton, Cori participated with Ambition in the International Twirling Competition representing the United States. There were 14 other countries represented in the competition.  They were the only team to receive a perfect score. "It is an awesome feeling knowing that you are representing America.  These days not many people want to admit they are from America, but I am proud to say it.  And then to win a Gold Medal-wow-it doesn't get any better than that," said Jenkins.

Cori has been twirling since she was three-years-old and has won numerous medals and titles, including State, Regional, and National. But to win a Gold Medal in International Competition, and do it for her country, that is beyond words. Cori was welcomed home by a banner stretched across her house congratulation her on her win by her Grandma and Papaw.  Cori said that was the best gift of all.
