Barnett & Gilley named to coaches' All-State team |

A pair of Benton Tiger Baseball players took home state honors by being named to the Class 3A Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association All-State Team. Infielder Jamie Gilley and outfielder Eldred Barnett were chosen to the 3A team. Barnett, a senior outfielder who batted .475, and Gilley, a junior pitcher who led the team in hitting with a .489 batting average, both helped the Tigers reach the Class 3A baseball state championship game. |
