Benton boys win, girls finish second |

Benton’s boys won their sixth consecutive district track and field championship Wednesday, but the girls’ streak of eight straight titles was snapped by North DeSoto despite 1-2 sweeps by the Lady Tigers in four events.
The boys scored 158 points to 126 for runnerup Booker T. Washington, claiming the district title for the eighth time in the last nine years.
North DeSoto won the girls’ title with 160 points to 132 for Benton.
