Softball wins three in Sulphur tourney |

Benton’s Lady Tigers won three of four softball games in the Sulphur tournament last week. In its first game, Benton rode the five-hit, three-strikeout pitching of Jeri Wilson to a 3-1 victory over Catholic-New Iberia as Wilson and Brittney Naron had Benton’s hits. In its second game, Benton scored a 6-5 victory over Rosepine as Bailey Woodward got the pitching decision. She allowed seven hits and no walks. Sara Hale was two-for-two at the plate and Katie Ell, Woodward, Brittney Naron, Ashley Jordan and Ashley Jones had one hit apiece for Benton.
In the Lady Tigers’ third game, Wilson pitched a two-hitter and Ell and Woodward were two-for-two at the plate. Woodward and Hale had triples for the Lady Tigers. Read the full article at BossierPress.com... |
