Sara Hale’s two-run double with one out in the top of the seventh inning gave Benton’s Lady Tigers a 3-2 softball victory over Captain Shreve here Tuesday.

Jessica Richardson and Hannah Cherry, who was two-for-three at the plate, hit singles to set the stage for the game-winning hit.

Jeri Wilson was the winning pitcher for Benton. She allowed seven hits and struck out five batters and walked one.
Benton left 12 runners on base.

The Lady Tigers carry an 8-5 record into Thursday’s game with Springhill at Benton.
