Benton High School will hold its annual Financial Aid Workshop on Monday Feb. 4th at 6:00 in the library. College bound seniors and their parents are urged to attend. The meeting will cover TOPS, Pell grants, loans, and a variety of other college related items. Kaplan is offering a free practice SAT, PSAT, and ACT on Sat. Feb 2nd at Centenary College. It will begin at 8:45 on the first floor of Mickle Hall. Register online at kaptest.com or call 1-800-KAP TEST. You should bring a calculator. Also, Seniors with at least a 3.5 gpa and a 23 on the ACT can apply for the Robert C. Byrd Scholarship. Two seniors from Benton High School will receive $500 scholarships. The Brandi Middlebrooks Scholarships will be awarded based on the following : church involvement, community service, academic achievement, leadership qualities, school service, work experience, personal initiative, and a written essay.
