LSU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs hosts the SPRINGFEST Minority Recruitment Weekend on April 25-27, 2008 in Baton Rouge. Students should be African American or Asian American or Hispanic American or Native American. Applicants must be Juniors with a 3.5+ gpa and a 23+ ACT score. Bossier Parish School Board education major scholarship |

The Bossier Parish School Board Scholarship application is now available. This scholarship is awarded to students who will be education majors and will be attending a Louisiana college/university. The completed application with the required documentation is due at the Superintendent’s Office at the BPSB School Board Central Office in Benton by Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Recipients will be contacted by mail by no later than April 28, 2008, of the award and they would be presented at the BPSB Board Meeting on May 1, 2008. Download the application here. |

Bossier Parish Sheriff Scholarship |

Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a $500 college scholarship to be awarded to a Bossier Parish high school graduate. The scholarship is not a loan and will be awarded as a gift to defray the rising costs of tuition and related expenses in higher education, Sheriff Larry Deen said. Applicants must be residents of Bossier Parish, the funds must be used in higher education within the state of Louisiana and individuals must plan to enroll as a full-time student, Deen said. Applications are available at all Bossier Parish high schools. The deadline is April 1 and the winner will be announce May 1. Call Nia Gregorczyk at (318) 965-3409 for more information. |
