Octagon Club members provided “Goodie Bags” to all of the hard-working teachers at Benton High this past week. The bags were filled with candy treats to show the teachers how much they are appreciated, and to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving break. The Octagon Club is sponsored by teacher Peri Sandifer. |

Octagon Club raises over $1,200 with their “Cupcakes for the Cause” fund raiser |

The Octagon Club raised over $1,200 with their “Cupcakes for the Cause” fund raiser. Octagon members sold cupcakes to raise money for Paul Newman’s “Hole in the Wall Camps” for seriously ill children. These Camps offer children with serious illnesses an opportunity to forget their struggles for a week in a carefree, full-of-laughter, and caring environment, all free of charge. The organization has allowed over 119,000 children a chance to have a childhood again. The cupcakes were on sale during lunch shifts at school, and at last week’s football game. BHS students helped the Octagon Club raise funds so that more children may have an opportunity to experience the best medicine: laughter. The club is sponsored by teacher Peri Sandifer. |

The Octagon club is sponsoring a wonderful organization, Hole in the Wall Camps. Hole in the Wall Camps offer children with serious illnesses an opportunity to forget their struggles for a week in a carefree, full-of-laughter, and caring environment all free of charge. This organization has allowed over 119,000 children a chance to have a childhood again. During November 3rd - 7th, the Octagon club will be selling cupcakes for $1 on both lunch shifts, and will also sell cupcakes at the football game on November 7th. The Octagon Club would like to thank Benton High School faculty, staff, student body, and clubs as well as individual donors that helped make the fundraiser, CancerCare for Kids, a success. Due to everyone’s efforts, the Octagon Club raised over $1600 to support CancerCare for Kids. Thank you Benton High School! |

The Benton High School Octagon Club is sponsoring a great project called Cupcakes for a Cause. Cupcakes for a Cause helps an organization called CancerCare for Kids. This non-profit organization provides assistance financially to families who have children with cancer. It also supports families emotionally and mentally through counseling services which are free of charge. |
