The Benton Fighting Tiger Marching Band participated in the LMEA (Louisiana Music Educators Association) Marching Competition at Haughton High School on November 8, 2005.  The Tiger Band, under the supervision of Mr. Hitt and Mr. Causey, received an overall score of 2.  The band’s performance would normally be considered good; however, given the fact that this performance was put together in just the last three to four weeks and that Band Director, Ted Beagley, has been serving with the Louisiana National Guard since Hurricane Katrina, our band students definitely rallied to the occasion.

The Red River Revel fundraiser was a resounding success for the Benton High School Band.  Revel volunteers served over 10,000 funnel cakes and raised over $20,000 to support the band program and band students at BHS.  While we greatly miss Mr. Beagley, our band director who is currently serving with the National Guard, we're committed to making the band the best it can be.
