Fall is probably my favorite time of the year. Cooler weather is beginning to be much more prevalent and most people just feel better when it gets cooler. Football is in full swing and, in fact, our high schools will have played half their regular season by October 1st!

Superitendent's 2006-07 Back to School Message

We are excited about the 2006-2007 school year and our administrators, teachers and support staff are working diligently for the opening of school. Teachers will be involved in staff development activities Monday, August 7, 2006, at various locations around the district. Staff development will be conducted at all school sites on Tuesday, August 8, 2006.

The summer is going by as quickly as this past school year. Our fourth grade, eighth grade and high school students that have been involved in summer LEAP remediation will test June 27-30. I know they have worked hard and our faculty has done a terrific job of preparing them. Thank you all for your hard work!

The 2005-2006 school year is rapidly coming to a close. The years are going by much too quickly. This has been a terrific year for our school system. Our administrators, teachers, support staff, and especially our students have worked tremendously hard in order to experience success. Thank you parents for all your support.

Welcome back! Spring Break was hopefully a super week for our students and employees. Spring is a great time of the year with all the new growth of flowers, grass and especially weeds. Those of us with allergies really have a tough time during this season of the year. Spring is a busy time also. Even though testing has been completed we still have six weeks plus of instruction. Our high school students are getting excited about prom night and for our seniors, graduation. Please remind your students about the dangers of drinking and driving.
