Computer Science I

Course Description

Computer Science I emphasizes problem solving and program development (AP prep curricula) utilizing Java programming language and leveraging from our ongoing work with our educational partners. Course objectives are: 1) understanding the principles of object-oriented software design and programming and the ethical and social issues related to computer usage; 2) learning to use Java library packages and classes, coding in a well-structured fashion reflecting AP/A Java subset, and studying the concept and implementation of algorithms; and 3) acquiring skills in design object oriented software solutions and applying problem solving skills in given scenarios.
