Hi!

I'm glad you're checking out the Family-Consumer Sciences website.

I'm Mrs. Aversa, and I'm more than happy to talk with you about the FCS department.  Actually, I'm just more than happy to talk!!!

WAY back before you were born, about ten years before your parents even thought about conceiving you (we'll talk about that in Child Development--not your parents, but conception), I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Home Economics Education.

And, I've been studying and talking about the 7  AREAS of FCS ever since.

Not one, not two, but SEVEN areas!  All in one department!!!  That's a lot of interests!  That's a lot of careers!

Courses dealing with:  Nutrition, Food Preparation and Safety, Child Development, Textiles (fibers), Clothing Construction, Housing & Design, Money Management are available.

So, welcome to Family-Consumer Sciences.
