State law now requires that parents give or deny consent for our school to disclose Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the LA Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) for TOPS and other financial aid or to the state’s colleges and universities for admission.  We are no longer able to provide transcripts to LOSFA and colleges without parent permission.  A letter and an attached consent form went out to students on Thursday, November 4 in their first block.  I would like to stress the importance of this consent form being completed and turned in ASAP.  For more information please see Ms. Dunn.

TIGER PRIDE!

Students/Parents:  The Louisiana Department of Education has mandated that all cell phones be collected by test administrators during all high stakes state testing. Each teacher who is administering a high stakes test (GEE or EOC) has been instructed to collect cell phones, MP3 players, or any other technological device with imaging or text-messaging capabilities. These devices will be placed in zip-lock bags which will be pre-labeled with students’ names. They will then be placed in a container and locked in a filing cabinet or cabinet. Students will be asked to initial that they have turned in a device and that they have had the device returned to them. Devices will be returned at the conclusion of the testing period. Students will not receive any consequences for being in possession of these devices.
